globe-pointerCustom domain

In this section you will learn how to configure your own domain or a bolten.io subdomain!

Setting up Your Own Domain

Using a custom domain allows your customers to access the platform through an address with your brand (e.g.: crm.yourcompany.com.br), removing any visual mention of Bolten.

Step 1: Request in the Bolten Panel

The process starts within your platform.

  1. Access your Partner Panel.

  2. Locate the Custom Domain (or White Label) section.

  3. Enter the full address you want to use (e.g.: system.youragency.com.br).

  4. When saving, the system will provide the data necessary for the next step.

Step 2: Configuration at your Provider (DNS)

Now, you need to inform your domain provider (where you purchased the site, such as Registro.br, GoDaddy, Squarespace or Wix) where this new address should point to.

Look for the Manage DNS or DNS Zone section and add a new record:

  • Type: CNAME

  • Name/Host: The prefix you chose (e.g.: crm, app or system).

  • Destination/Value: whitelabel.bolten.io

Note: The "Destination" is always Bolten's default address to ensure your page loads correctly.

⏳ Tracking the Request Status

After completing the two steps above, the system will enter a recognition phase.

Postal Analogy: The internet works like a worldwide postal system. When you change a DNS address, it takes time for all the "mail servers" around the world to learn the new route.

This process is called propagation and can take from 30 minutes to 48 hours. If your site doesn't open immediately, don't worry: it's just the normal time for the network to update.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I delete or change a domain?

A: Unlike other tools, access management is done directly with your domain provider. Since Bolten does not have the authority to delete records outside its system, if you wish to stop using or change the address, simply delete the CNAME record at your provider (Squarespace, Registro.br, etc.) and the connection will be automatically discontinued.

Q: Do I need to configure a security certificate (HTTPS)?

A: No. Once the domain is connected and propagation finishes, Bolten generates the security certificate (the "green padlock") automatically and free of charge for you.
