Domain Configuration
Setting up your own domain on Bolten
We offer our customers the option to choose the model access route to a custom subdomain.
This means that your customer will be able to access the Bolten ecosystem through <my-subdomain>.<my-domain>.com.br or <my-subdomain>.bolten.io , ensuring a unified experience within the partner's ecosystem.

The setup can be done in 2 ways: from a domain that the partner already owns or by creating a new Bolten subdomain via the Partner panel.
<subdomain>.<my-domain>.com.br
<my-subdomain>.bolten.io
What's the difference between the 2 options?
There is no difference in features offered to those who use their own subdomain or the Bolten subdomain (ending in bolten.io).
The first option is the alternative for partners who want to host their model on a fully customized domain, without exposing the name "Bolten" in the URL.
It requires the user to have previously purchased the domain, from services like Registro.br, Hostinger or GoDaddy. It is a bit more complex, as it requires the partner to perform a DNS pointing configuration in that service.
This process takes about 5 minutes and is done by the partner themselves, following the step-by-step provided in the "My Domain" section of Bolten. This ensures that the name "Bolten" will not appear in the URL.
Important note: as of 01/12/2026 it is no longer possible to use full domains in the option 1. This means that, if you own
my-super-store.com.br, it is only possible to use some subdomain of that domain (for example:crm.my-super-store.com.brorapp.my-super-store.com.br, but notmy-super-store.com.br)
The second option is the alternative for customers who do not want the trouble of purchasing their own domain or performing complex configurations. Just request the Bolten subdomain in the "My Domain" section and within a few minutes it will be automatically made available to you!
Option 1) Configuring a subdomain from your own domain
1) In the side menu of the Partner Panel, click on "My Domain"

2) To request a domain, select the first option and fill in the fields with the name of your domain and the service provider where it was purchased. If your service provider is not on the list, click "Other". Then, click on "Request".
The domain must follow the format <subdomain>.<my-domain>.com.br , without slashes (using specific routes within an already used domain is not supported).

3) If your subdomain is valid, your request should go straight to the "Awaiting your Action" stage. If it does not go to this stage, wait a few minutes and try requesting your subdomain again.

When you reach this stage, follow the instructions provided in the "Configure CNAME Record" within your registrar to perform the indicated pointing. You can click on "View tutorial for..." to see specific instructions from your registrar on how to make the pointing. This button only appears if we have the specific instruction for your registrar.
In general, all registrars have a similar process to create the CNAME pointing. You can use the video below as a reference:
4) After making the pointing above, within a few hours (from 1h to 48h), your model should automatically be working at the specified address.
You can follow the status of the request on this same screen (it is updated automatically). You can also manually refresh the status by clicking the "Check Status".
An email is automatically sent to you when this process is completed.

If this process takes more than 48h without a Status update, see this section.

Option 2) Configuring a new subdomain
1) In the side menu of the Partner Panel, click on "My Domain"

2) To request a new subdomain, select the second option and fill in the field with the name of the subdomain you want to use. It is not necessary to add suffixes (.com, .br), as it will necessarily end with bolten.io .

3) In this case, the process is completely automatic. It starts with the status "Domain Requested" and should, within 1 hour, be automatically transitioned to the state of "Domain Created".
You can also click on "Check Status" to manually refresh the status.

You should also receive an email when this process is completed.
If this process is not completed within 12 hours, contact Bolten Technical Support Bolten.
Tracking the status of your request
Pointing requests are processed within 48 hours. The partner can track the status of their request in the "My Domain" panel.

If the partner wants to make any changes to their domain after the request has already been made, they can:
Change the desired domain every 5 minutes, if the domain has not yet been provisioned (status Pending);
Change the desired domain if it has been rejected by our administrators (status Rejected);
Only 1 domain is allowed per partner.
If you wish to make any changes to the existing domain after the request has already been made, contact our Technical Support team.
What to do if my request has been rejected?
Requests are rejected due to the use of repeated subdomain names or names considered inappropriate by Bolten's moderation.
If your request has been rejected, select another name (for domain or subdomain) and click "Request" again.

What to do if mine is stuck on "Awaiting Client Action" for more than 48h?
If your pointing is stuck in the status "Awaiting Partner Action" / "Awaiting your Action" for a long period of time, this indicates that the pointing to the indicated CNAME was not done correctly by the partner. Review your configuration or contact your registrar's support to ensure the pointing is correct.

To diagnose whether the pointing is done correctly, you can use the service DNSChecker, entering your subdomain in the search field and selecting the option CNAME.
When performing the search, all entries should display the value whitelabel.bolten.io . If this happens, your pointing is correct.

If the pointing is correct and you still cannot access your subdomain, contact our Technical Support team.
Limitations of using custom domains
It is not possible to use specific routes of a domain that is already being used. For example, if the partner has an active page already populated at <my-domain>.com.br , it is not possible to use <my-domain>.com.br/crm as the access URL to Bolten.
